Welcome !

Welcome to Cub Scout Pack 18 in Culver City!

Since 1943, Pack 18 has helped boys in Culver City achieve the aims of Scouting—citizenship training, character development, and personal fitness. Many of these activities happen right in the den and pack. The most important are the weekly den meetings and the monthly pack meetings. Apart from the fun and excitement of Cub Scout activities, the Cub Scout Promise, the Law of the Pack, and the Cub Scout sign, handshake, motto, and salute all teach good citizenship and contribute to a boy's sense of belonging. We invite you and your son to join us!  Click here to learn more about us!

Are you ready for summer? Cub Scouting is a year-round program and Pack 18 wants all scouts to remain active. Individual Cub Scouts, their Dens and the Pack can all earn awards for participating in summertime activities. Cubs will gain a sense of accomplishment when receiving this award, and will look forward to activities next summer!

Outdoor Activity Award

Posted on Jul 10 2014 - 10:33pm

Tiger Cubs, Wolf and Bear Cub Scouts, and Webelos Scouts have the opportunity to earn the Cub Scout Outdoor Activity Award. Boys may earn the award in each of the program years as long as the requirements are completed each year. The first time the award is earned, the boy will receive the pocket flap award, which is to be worn on the right pocket flap of the uniform shirt. Each successive time the award is earned, a wolf track pin may be added to the flap. Leaders should encourage boys to build on skills and experiences from previous years when working on the award for a successive year.

Buy a Better Water Bottle

Posted on Jun 21 2014 - 9:49pm

As summertime nears, hydration in the outdoors becomes increasingly important. I encourage families and boys to move away from disposable single-serving water bottles to bringing reusable water bottles to our outdoor activities, den meetings, and other events. (Leave No Trace!) Boys' Life this month offers a great guide to buying a better water bottle. Whether you go for a canteen or a bladder pack, I'm sure you'll drink it up!
